The TURBOSOUND NuQ PRO NuQ62 is an ultra-compact 800 Watt passive two way full range loudspeaker system designed for use in a wide range of portable speech and music sound reinforcement applications. The NuQ62 is designed to work in conjunction with TURBOSOUND loudspeaker management systems, providing the optimum performance for FOH, side fill and monitor applications as well as offering considerable flexibility to readily adapt to varying venue requirements.
The NuQ62 loudspeaker features a carbon fibre loaded 6.5" low frequency driver with low mass voice coil for improved transient response and an aluminium dome 1" motor high frequency compression driver on a rotatable 100° horizontal by 60° vertical Converging Elliptical Waveguide matched with an internal passive crossover network in a reflex loaded enclosure. The comparatively short HF flare allows accurate physical alignment of the HF and LF devices, and ensures that the wavefront is shaped smoothly while giving excellent pattern control. The waveguide can be rotated through 90° within the enclosure, making it possible to swap the horizontal and vertical coverage patterns.
The cabinet is constructed from 12 mm (1/2") birch plywood and includes a rugged powder coated perforated steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. It is finished in hard wearing semi matt black or optional white textured paint. Its asymmetrical shape, together with the possibility to rotate the HF horn pattern, creates an additional role for monitor wedge or lip-fill applications. The cabinet includes internal M10 and M8 threaded rigging points for use with TURBOSOUND wall and ceiling brackets and OmniMount* brackets and optional flying yokes and swivel brackets, allowing it to be permanently installed or mounted on straight poles or speaker stands. The NuQ62 is equipped with three Neutrik speakON* NL4 connectors for input and link connections to additional enclosures.
